I guess I always knew.. but it really kicked when I saw pictures of how your life is now. we're never ever gonna be the same again ; And it always makes me sad when I think about it. U've compartmentalized everything.. we only talk when you associate me to be from 'A' and it goes all awkward when you realize that im also associated with 'B'. Even then, it's still not the same. It never will be.

It really is sad.

It's been awhile..

After last week's presentation, i've finally been able to breathe. Accomplished so many things over the weekend and early this week that i'm a HAPPY GIRL =)

Last Friday was the F1 Practice Race and Jake had extra tickets so he asked me along! =)) We had walk-a-bout tickets, and Freddy was there too and He had extra grandstand tickets so he brought Jake & I along! hurray! =)) I really love the sounds the cars make. VRRRRRRRRRRRRM!

Saturday was Naz's Hari Raya Open house which was quite fun too! His mum cooks really good food. CHICKENWINGS. zomg. my favourite.

Anyway!
One Major happy factor for the week apart from not having to rush for assignments is that it gave me time to settle my lodging in NYC!
ZOMG. I thought I was kiasu, but looking for lodging online was a bitch! so many places were booked over New Years!! So i started panicking..
But turns out! There was still room at the YMCA! excellent location and reputation! woots! I CANNOT WAIT . SERIOUSLY. Settling lodging for the first week of the trip really makes the whole thing more real!

We're near times' squre which is a MAJOR plus! =D Wheeeeee!! NEW YEARS EVE! CONFETTI!! 

ok nuff day dreaming. Back to reality.

Because I had itme on my hands, I also managed to settle some stuff for Liquidesigns. Ive been so horrible.. havent been doign much! but i've got some things up so they'll be poste up soon I Hope!! =D


I'm off to watch Grey's Anatomy again.. Just.Cant. Get. Enough. =)))

It's been awhile since my last update.

The past week has been quite a busy week. Lemme think of the quick run through..

1. Last Sunday night was AhGong's birthday dinner celebration. The entire family went to AngMoKio to celebrate cuz it wasnt convenient for my grandfather to be moving around anyway. I originally had plans to go for RUN singapore with the choir gang but didnt in the end cuz of the birthday dinner. Dinner was quite nice.. Everyone brought food and there was just so much! Baby Mathais kept us entertained the whole night. HE's just sooo cute.

2. Fred's POP was last wed. It seemed like yesterday that he went into Army, and now, it's all over. mummy daddy and I went to watch his POP.. it was really quite a nice scene and feeling (less the realization that it is afterall an army camp). I mean, most of the boys looked happy to finally be able to graduate from BMT. They were all smiles after throwing their hats up in the air.. "POP lohhh!" I guess, at the end of the day, camps do bond people in a way. To think that prior to this, no one know anybody.. and after 2 months, they've forged friendships and memories to take them through their life. I miss Conficamp.. I miss OBS. Camps are fun..


3. After Fred's POP, I headed to chinatown for the Choir's welfare sesion! We went for $10 KTV which was quite an interesting place. wow, you could really tell the generation gap between the older peeps and the younger ones. Thank goodness im in the middle in terms of age x)



4. Oh yes, with regards to school, my grp was also rushing to get our website up and make sure everything ran smoothly in time for presentation on Friday.. Thank goodness everything went well. Good Job Germs! =DD


One week down, 14 more weeks to go before it's time for NY! i cannot wait. seriously. It's one of the only things that keeps me going. Jody and I confirmed our tickets last week, which makes everything even more real! Time's Square! Shopping! Food! Snow! WOOTS =))

ok. shant start day dreaming.. gotta do some work now.

In my head.. I though I had planned out a nice introduction for my Profile Essay. However, after writing it down, it seemed so short and blah. daaang.

Yoga today with Alex was goood. way better than I expected! Cant wait to continue on this regime to keep fit!

It's Fred's POP (Passing Out Parade) tomorrow! hurray for him! He finally can graduate from Tekkong! Im sure mummy must be so glad. Shall take pictures of the whole thing tomorrow!

Ok time to head back to do a bit more work and then it'll be time for


A super old HK drama which started showing on Channel 8 (rather, it's still showing). Mummy and I are watching it on VCD now, thanks to this sweet girl from my learning school.

This p2 girl, (Such a bright child).. for some reason on teachers day, we were talking about shows we watched and then somehow, we started talking about this show! She went on to say that she had the entire series on VCD at home and I casually asked her to lend it to me! The next thing I knew, she had gone back home to ask her mum whether she could lend it to me and she said ok! SO YES. that's why I now have the entire series! muahaha! She's such a  nice girl =)

I realize that my last entry was a bit of a hit and run.

But anyway. owell =)

So the first week of school came and went. Im still kinda in the midst of getting accustomed to school again which isnt really good cuz it's already starting to pick up! At least I think I know who I wanna do for my Profile Essay,for which the draft is due on thurs. Advertising is still murky but we'll be fine..

Looking forward to KL with the choir people! something to look forward to mid semester! yay! That's the weekend where mummy's away in Melbourne with my aunts and grandmother. Oh how I wish I could go to melbourne.. then I could go visit Jing and SY.. and go shopping and look at flea markets.. sigh.. but yes.. at least there's KL! =DD

And NY at the end of the year. *FINGERS CROSSED. I really hope everything works out. That's kinda my only driving force. pathetic I know.


Off now to watch Friends for a bit.. was doing stuff for the next collection of Liquidesigns. argh. I really lack the drive. this. cannot . happen.

Meeting Michie tomorrow before project meeting to discuss stuff about her wedding mass! =D

I really hate this.

Here are some of the gifts I got from the kids from work and church for teachers day! Sweet lil children who remembered it was teachers day. I totally forgot about it! There were also home made cookies and jelly. *beams

So.. Happy teachers day to teachers out there! =)

I need to start clearing my table and packing my pencil case for tomorrow. It feels weird after so long.. 6 weeks of not touching my pencil case and my school bag and file.. rah.

Ok.. lets see.

So I just got back from Baybeats 2009 with Gil, Jamie and Daph (whom we met halfway, before going for Anberlin's final set). Gil, Jamie and I met earlier first to go for Anberlin's accoustic set.. I really kinda liked it, less the crowd. We had dinner after that, and then went back to sit by the river to eat cotton candy and cupcorn, listening to Luna node and Jon Chang, both of whom I kinda liked. We left Jon Chang halfway to go listen to Nigel Hougen. Daph was there.. she liked him though it's not really to my fancy. Maybe its cuz i wasnt really listening to him much =x

We then went for Anberlin's final set. It was quite good I must say, though I think, now that im listening to their CD, I like them better now.. I think cuz just now when we were at the stage we werent near enough to be able to soak up the atmosphere. Though You cant really blame us. People who came out from the core of the crowd were all SWEATY AND GROSS. eww.

Gil & Jamie left once the set was over, and Daph&I waited for Sammie as she was braving the war front taking pictures. Awesome pictures I must say. Cant wait to see them all. We then went for Bundung at Ayer Rajar since we were quite thirsty.

Somehow we started talking about church again. this topic seems to be coming up more and more regularly. I really wonder where we'll all be next year. Why cant we all just go back to how we were.. why cant we all just be young again. I miss the keyboard.. I miss p&w.

Yesterday was Kev's birthday dinner.. we celebrated early cuz he's gotta go for sea trial tomorrow and is not sure when he's gonna be back. =/ SO! we had dinner at Wala's. Of all the many times i've been there, that was the first time i've had dinner there.. which was quite yummy I must say. Valvette Vendetta started the night at Wala's. We originally had no idea who they were.. As a band, they were awesome. the music was really tight but jacq didnt like them cuz their music was heavy; Headbanging kinda stuff. So weird for them to be playing at walas. Anyway, we found out that they were from HK and they were gonna play at Baybeats the next day!

Listend to UnXpected for the first time.. Heard a lot about Shirlyn and her band but never really got to see them.. and wow. She's really awesome. I must say, this is radom but I totally love her hair. Their music is very different from EIC.. they played more non radio friendly songs.. and some heavier headbanging songs.. and her hair sways in total perfection. =/

Of course, at wala's there'll be drinks. and since it was Kev's birthday, we had more than our normal share of drinks. Tequila shots and jager bombs all round. It was great!! =D Alex got high.. haha =P. we bought Kev a flaming lambo and he got high too. It was so funny. By the 3rd set, Jacq and ben had left.. leaving the rest of us happy people at the table. The highlight of the night came the next day when we found out that we were not charged for any of the shots at all. AWESOME. x)) I guess it was Wala's way of saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEV!! =P

so im back home now.. my feet kinda hurts from standing around for so long.. listening to Anberlin now.. wishing I was some place else other than here.

Technically, school starts tomorrow but my Monday's are off so im not complaining.. yet. Maybe i'll complain about having to go to school tomorrow night =)

I seem to move through my days in a daze. It's not that they're not great days, its just that it feels like a part of me has gone into hiding.

On Monday, I had lunch at Au Petit Salut with my aunts and cousins.. Lunch was great! Everyone except steffi had escargots for starters. =) work followed after... and then dinner at my aunts place cuz we had left over buakulua! YUMMMM.

Today Gil and I originally planned to go to sentosa in the afternoon to hang out since the fall freshies were having orientation.. but we ended up feeling lazy. So, today became the first official day I got to stay home all summer. can u believe it. We met for dinner at Vivo. together with Justin Naz and Ellyas. It was nice just sitting and letting the cool raining wind blow.

Tomorrow's another day.. will tell u what's gonna happen another time. but a highlight is that im gonna COLLECT MY CAMERA!! like FINALLY.

Anyway! since the boyfriend knows about the scarf...

it's not as wide as i would have loved it to be but my aunt was elping me so she got to decide! She thought my original one was too wide to begin with. owells!  At least its nicer now and i feel happier knitting! =))

Dear boyfriend,

you're online now but i think you fell asleep online again =x I was hoping to be able to catch you today but I guess not.

Last night was my brother's birthday celebration at home with the rest of my aunts and cousins. We had a popiah party (arent you glad u didnt have to eat it. hehe) Oh but then there was SATAY too, amongst other food =P anyway since Steffi was around too we decided to go Zouk. As it turned out, my US aunt had a family friend (sorta) who had a son who stayed with them in the states.. and he's some regular VIP member or smth. soo he managed to bring us in for free annnd we had a table to ourselves at zouk which is apparently called 'the nest'. that vip table at the top of zouk which overlooks the entire club.

They were playing house music that night, which ade LOVED. haha. the guest dJ was not bad that night, but house music really takes awhile to get used to. so ade (who met a friend there) stayed at zouk and the rest of us went to Phuture =)

Didnt have enough sleep before Catechism the next morning cuz we only reached home at 445! =/ I was so tired! came back and slept the whole afternoon away. (though I momentarily woke up at intervals to see if you were online).

I need to go out to dinner now (with my aunts and cousins again) and the wanna go to the Henderson wave after.  I was considering not going because by staying at home i'd get an opportunity to see you online (maybe?). But oh well. you might not be home anyyway.

Maybe when i get home u'd be home still.. but i doubt. U should be in church? haha. ohwells! we'll see!

So I wore my new shoes out today to lunch with Gil and Rah in an attempt to make myself feel happier. I guess it kinda worked, for awhile, until I got tired of walking at 7plus at night. But its alright.. they were comfortable so I was ok.

Last night went better than expected I guess, though it was really hard. Im glad we kept to our little pact of having a short and brief goodbye. I saw Hooey and Chee (though Gil told me not to look) and SIGH. Thank goodness for the girls.  Stayed with them at the airport at CoffeeClub till 3 in the morning. Ken and Justin hung out with us for a bit before hitting WineBar. It was nice just talking and enjoying each other's company. It's funny though, how our supposed night to keep me company ended up winding into conversations that got us all down and dreary. sigh. I guess misery does love company. Nevertherless, it was better than being alone. The airport is really a nice place to hang out and talk. We really talked about so much. It was quite theraputic to just sit there and talk.

I guess with everything happing over the past week or so, uncle Lawrance, Helping mark settle all his things and aranging stuff for him, making sure the choir was ok, meeting my aunts and cousin from Melbourne and New Jersey, Mummy's birthday, making buakulua with my aunt.. and on top of that, being sick, things have just been an emotional train ride (as Peter put it). Ive been moving and going, without really having space and time to think.

Things are still ok I guess..  at least I still see my people; people whom I love much. Was happy to see them all at the airport to send mark off. Got to spend time with the girls from school after, Im kinda glad for choir duty at church tomorrow even though its Friday at least I see my choir people.. (though I hope they come, if not there's no point. I know ad's not going =(  ). It was sweet when Ben &Jacq said that they kept their sat free to spnd it with me.. though it's my brother's birthday and i cant see them this weekend, blah. I wanna be there.. to hear the nice stories from Kev about Malta (he comes back on friday!), since they're guranteed to be happiness inducing stories. daang. Maybe i'll see them after dinner! we'll see.but owells. It's Fred's birthday!  =D Army boy.. what do you get an army boy for his birthday. Maybe i'll buy him a cap. Oh by the way, it just dawned on me that he is 20 this year! TWO ZERO! wow. time sure flies. =D we're having popiah! oh and yes, i need to find time to meet Hui. my "nerd" of a bestfriend is apparently busy with projects cuz she wants to finish them early. silly girl. havent seen her in quite awhile i realized. eek.

Anyway, I'm off to go watch Friends. At least they're happy yaypp people. I'm on season 3 i think. I need to look for the episode which I stopped at. emotions come in waves. At this very point in time, im okay ( i think). I hope I stay this way and dont slide down further.

At this point of time, I dont know what I want. Oh no wait. I do. But its far away. oh so far away.

Life really is fragile. No matter how much you think you've prepared yourself for it, you will never fully be prepared. Like Daph said "funerals are one of the times that really bring people together." It really is true.

At times like these, the frailty of life really scares me.

I basically spent the entire day moving at snail's pace. Typing notes for PSY 333 and aimlessly staring into cyber space with the consoling thought that since I've made notes it counts as studying. bullshit.

Motivation and I are playing hide and seek.

Exam's on Tuesday and Im not even halfway done with studying.

Hell week's over, done with Midterms, quiz and group presentation.

Our group did great with our presentation which I'm very glad! (considering the amount of work and rushing we did the morning before). Awesome bunch of people coupled with excellent friends. Hopefully our grades reflect her reaction.

My dress from American Eagle finally arrived! so happy with it =D simple white smocked tube dress which is LONG and slightly tiered at th bottom. pretty!

It'll be my new "outfit" for future wedding masses the choir sings for!

I miss my camera. tts why I had to rely on my lousy laptop camera to take pictures. Owells. It's been more than a week. sigh. I'll have to call them to ask them about it soon. Maybe tmr.

Anyway Jing was back earlier this month for about a week only. We managed to meet up! =) went to take Neoprints, Timbre and finally to the Singapore Flyer! (we've never been on the flyer before. Noob I know =x )

Peter managed to get me 1 pair of tickets to the NDP this year! it was for the national education show. Hui went with me! Yay we had loads of fun!




This year's show was directed by Ivan Heng and you could see that there were certain aspects of the show that had his style in it. of course, the FIREWORKS WERE AWESOME =D

Tmr's a day of rest.. which i'm so greateful for. Tuesday's a day of errand running for Liquidesigns followed by Mortons bar with my cousins and aunts. Cant wait!
